My family was amazed when I completed my first quilt. No one thought I would take it seriously as for me, sewing had always been a chore. I am not quite sure how I learned the process but a love of fabric and colour took hold of me. Add to this, classes with some very special teachers, support and advice from quilt making friends plus a very supportive family. Here I am -some fifteen years later - a dedicated art quilter who exhibits internationally, lectures and also writes for textile journals. |
